What is EDI?
The Electronic Documents of Illinois (EDI) project of the Illinois State Library provides permanent digital library storage and access provisions for electronic versions of official publications of Illinois State Government. EDI was created by the Illinois State Library in response to statutory requirements, as discussed in the 'About' page (see pushbutton at left). Generally, materials which were produced using pre-computer techniques but which were subsequently scanned will be included in the Illinois Digital Archive rather than EDI.
EDI generally only contains local, county, city, or town government information when local topics were addressed by State agencies. For additional information resources, refer to the 'Other collections' pushbutton at left.
