Safe From the Start (SFS) is a program designed to develop, implement, and evaluate community-based models of intervention for young children exposed to violence and their families. Research has demonstrated the programs effectiveness. However, little is known about how program sites currently operate, their strategies for overcoming obstacles, and how the program can be improved. We conducted a process evaluation with SFS sites, examining the programs operation with a focus on its three core pillars of coalition building, direct services, and public awareness. The purpose of this evaluation was to:1. Understand how sites operate.2. Assess sites collaboration with other agencies.3. Assess how clients are referred for SFS services.4. Identify client needs and challenges.5. Understand how clinicians deliver services and use best practices.6. Assess sites data collection processes.7. Document how sites conduct community outreach and increase awareness. | | | Date Created: | 06-23-2023 | | | Agency ID: | | | | ISL ID: | 000000107725 Original UID: 214227 FIRST WORD: 2022 | |
