 Volume/Number:
 Issuing Agency:
Description:  The Illinois Criminal Justice Information Authority (ICJIA) conducted a statewide survey asking Illinois residents about their experiences with crime victimization. This project, the Illinois Crime Victimization Survey (IL-CVS), is Illinois' first attempt at gauging the extent and nature of crime victimization among our state's citizens. Specifically, the goals of the IL-CVS were to: (1) estimate the rate of personal and property crime victimization in Illinois and regionally; (2) provide details about the nature of crime victimization in Illinois; and (3) assess public knowledge and utilization of crime victim services in Illinois.
