This temporary closure is required to install the traffic signal structure which will span IL Route 162. The closure shall last approximately 2 hours and during that period, flaggers and police officers will be on site to assist the travelling public. As a reminder, IDOT suggests the traveling public drive with caution or take any alternative routes during the 2 hour route closure. The contractor on this project is Thiems Construction of Edwardsville, IL. Steve Putz is the Supervising Field Engineer for the Illinois Department of Transportation in the area.
