 Description:  Limitations in the collection and analysis of data made it difficult to track trends in victimization and direct resources to where they were most needed. This issue focuses on the InfoNet project, which has gained national recognition for deploying the latest technologies to enhance data collection and reporting efforts, while creating a unique set of victim service data which is not available anywhere else in the country. The Illinois Coalition Against Sexual Assault and the Illinois Coalition Against Domestic Violence, with their member agencies across the state, have been the major partners in the development of InfoNet. The system allows agencies to confidentially gather case-level information on clients, including the victims circumstances, services provided, and details of court proceedings.
