 Description:  August 12, 2013. The Illinois Department on Aging invites older adults and their families to activities during the State Fair, which runs through August 18, in Springfield. The department is hosting activities for older adults and their families, in the air conditioned Illinois Building, near the main gate of the state fairgrounds. Each day of the fair, department staff and partners offer free health screenings, and information about programs to benefit seniors. Attendees 60 years of age and older are admitted to the fair for free today which is Senior Day. IDoA presents some State Fair favorites and invites guests to todays Senior Spelling Bee Finals.
