Brownfields are abandoned or underused industrial and/or commercial properties that are contaminated (or thought to be contaminated) and have an active potential for redevelopment. Municipal Brownfields Redevelopment Grants may be used to perform environmental site assessments to determine whether a brownfields property is contaminated, and if so, to what extent. These grants may also be used to develop cleanup objectives, prepare cleanup plans, and fund actual cleanup activities. Grant recipients are required to share in any grant award through a 70/30 match and to spend the grant within three years. | | | Date Created: | 04 13 2004 | | | Agency ID: | | | | ISL ID: | 000000042744 Original UID: 22269 FIRST WORD: Municipal | |
