 Description:  The purpose of the Illinois Department of Transportation(IDOT) Storm Water Quality (SWQ) and Erosion Control Manual is to provide a technical guide containing practices for the correct installation, maintenance, inspection andcompliance of storm water erosion and sediment control(ESC) for IDOTs roadway projects. This Manual provides guidance in the form of Best Management Practices (BMPs) that will assist a Resident Engineer/Technician (RE/T) in themanagement of pollutants on a construction site in order to minimize the discharge of pollutants into Illinois waters.
