 Description:  The Illinois Department of Transportation announced today that weather permitting, Interstate 74 will be closed between the University Avenue exit at mile marker 185 and the Royal/ Ogden exit at mile marker 197 for the setting of new bridge beams on a series of nights. During the closure, motorists will be directed to a marked route detour utilizing the University Avenue exit, US Route 150, and Market Street in Ogden. There will be signs and message boards to guide motorists around the closure.
