With public safety being the top priority our taskforce was mobilized in rapid response to information that the offender had escaped custody from a transport van moving him from the Courthouse in Bridgeview to Stateville Correctional Center in Crest Hill. The offender was found still in handcuffs and his tan jumpsuit, in a port-a-potty located near the Rockdale Waste Mgmt site.
