Their function is to examine the policies, procedures, and practices of State and local agencies and where appropriate, specific cases, to evaluate the extent to which State and local child protection agencies are effectively discharging their child protection responsibilities. This report includes an account of the Panel's activities, recommendations and evaluation of the state's response to the previous year's recommendations.
