  • Reporters who still need to pick up their Illinois State Fair media credentials should report to the Emmerson Building after the opening of the fair this Friday, Aug. 12. They should enter the fairgrounds through Gate 6 on Taintor Road and park in Lot 18. The Emmerson Building is located on Main Street north of Ethnic Village and will be open daily from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
