The Illinois Environmental Protection Agency made a committment to develop a strategy for addressing endocrine disruptors. A number of sources warn of extensive adverse effects from hormone disrupting chemicals. - Flexible Work Program (2009)

The Biennial Comprehensive Status and Self-assessment Report of the Illinois Groundwater Protection Program has been prepared persuant to Section 4 b 8 of the Illinois Groundwater Protection Act. The Act created a comprehensive, prevention-based policy focused on protecting the beneficial uses of groundwater and preventing degradation. - Repair Facility Performance Report (2007, October)
This report helps to identify repair facilities in Illinois. When a vehicle fails an emissions test, it must be taken to a repair facility. Repair of emissions equipment has emerged as a specialty in automotive repair. This publications lists facilities and reports the REI, Repair Effectiveness Index. - Report of the Illinois Climate Change Advisory Group
The Illinois Climate Change Advisory Group was created by Executive Order on October 5, 2006. The group was chaired by Doug Scott, Director of the Illinois Environmental Protection Agency. Other members represent local government, labor unions, public transit, scientists, environmental groups, consumer groups, faith-based groups. Industries represented include agriculture, utilities, power generators, auto manufacturing, farm and construction equipment, oil, insurance, and waste management. The group was charged with recommending state-level strategies to meet greenhouse gas reduction goals: 1990 levels by 2020; 60 percent below 1990 levels by 2050. - Report on Alternatives to the Flame Retardant DecaBDE: Evaluation of Toxicity, Availability, Affordability, and Fire Safety Issues: A Report to the Governor and the General Assembly (2007)
This report presented the Agencys findings on five issues raised in Public Act 94-100 regarding the flame retardant chemical Decabromodiphenyl ether (DecaBDE). The Agency found that DecaBDE is bioaccumulating in the environment and that levels are increasing in some samples. We also found that humans are exposed to DecaBDE, mainly from the diet, workplace, and home. We were not able to fully determine what health effects could result from exposure, whether DecaBDE breaks down into more harmful chemicals, and if safer alternatives are available that still maintain fire safety, due to uncertainties from insufficient data. - Report to the General Assembly, Response to Public Act 92-0682: Effectiveness of On-Board Diagnostic I/M Testing (covers July 2002-March 2003)
Public Act 92-0682 allows, and federal regulations require, the Illinois EPA to replace traditional vehicle inspection and maintenance tailpipe exhaust tests with a simpler and quicker test of the on-board diagnostic system. This report summarizes the effectiveness of on-board diagnostic testing in Illinois, based upon review of data and information collected during the phase-in period beginning in July 2002 through March 2003.
